Week 2

Well, things have been going pretty well and probably better than expected. Cianna likes to sleep in her bassinet and she slept in her crib for the first time last night for a little while. We are still trying to establish a sleeping/eating pattern but it has been kind of all over the place. She sleeps a lot during the day and then seems to get a bit fussy at night so we are working on that.

We were able to get out of the house a few times this week. Eric and I celebrated our 2 yr Wedding anniversary on Tuesday so we went to a really nice lunch and Cianna came along and was quite the little angel. One of my gifts last year from Eric was a message in a bottle (paper for the first year) and I couldn't open it until this year. Let's just say their were tears and it was definitely worth waiting for. He also surprised me with a cute little hand bag this year!


We have also made a few Target runs and went out to breakfast with some friends yesterday..nice to have some normalcy back. We also had more visitors this week and we have been really enjoying the company. Our friends Lauren and Eric and Brooke, Andrew and their little girl Alivia came over on Friday night for a BBQ. It was fun hanging out and sharing baby stories.

On Saturday Eric's good friend Corey and his girlfriend Karen came to visit us and we had a nice lunch together. Later in the evening our friends Kevin and Kelly came over to see Cianna and then we all watched the Laker game..so great to have so many visitors!

On Sunday my parents felt like taking a drive down to visit, they just can't get enough of baby Cianna! They were only here for part of the afternoon but we always love having grandma and grandpa here, we wish we could be closer. We plan on taking a trip up to Calabasas in a couple of weeks so Cianna can meet the rest of the family.

Cianna also got her first real bath last night since her belly cord finally fell off. I think she really liked it!


Eric goes back to work tomorrow which makes me a little sad. He has been such a great help and such a good daddy to Cianna so we will miss him during the day. I think he is going to miss us too...hehe. We will have to go and visit him for lunch from time to time.
