Thanksgiving Weekend!

We decided to host Thanksgiving this year and it all turned out great! Tony was here starting on Tuesday night- it was really great to get to spend most of the week with him. My parents got here on Thursday morning and the whole day was wonderful. Eric made a wonderful feast...I helped with some of the sides but I will admit, he did most of the work.

The turkey made "her" debut around 4:00pm and then it was time to eat (most of us had seconds). We of course had to have dessert later as well- delicious apple and pumpkin pie compliments of my mom.

After we put Cianna to bed, the rest of stayed up and played a new game called "Wits and Wagers". It was pretty fun- it was a great day all around of laughs, and unforgetable family time.

Another reason why we decided to host Thanksgiving this year was because I had to go into work on Friday :(. It wasn't too bad- it was a quite day so I was able to catch up on a lot and Cianna and my mom got to spend the afternoon together while the boys when trap shooting. Once everyone was home we decided to go out for pizza.

When we got home from pizza, Cianna went to bed and the rest of stayed up late again playing games. We played two rounds of Cranium and it was a hit- I think we all laughed more than we had in a long time- nothing like playing games with the family!

Saturday morning we all met up at my parents hotel. The hotel had a really pretty Christmas tree on display so we thought we would try and snap a few photos to see if we could get something for the Christmas card. We might have gotten one so I won't post the family pics...Cianna was being silly so here are a couple of her.

We finally made it to breakfast- there was a bit of a wait so we did some window shopping...

Well, Cianna wanted to do some actual shopping- she was going into every store...haha!

After breakfast we all came back to the house. My parents surprised us with a very exciting Christmas gift- NEW CARPET!! So, Eric and I went out for a little bit on Saturday afternoon to browse and we ended up finding something we really liked. We hope to have new Carpet by the beginning of next week. We are VERY excited and very happy- thank you thank you mom and dad!! Our house is going to look like new!!

It was such a great weekend filled with wonderful family time that we will never forget- thank you so much for come down to celebrate- we loved having all of you here.

Sunday was a lazy day which was nice since we had such a fun filled weekend. Cianna and I ran a couple of errands while Eric took care of some things. Then, what do you know- my daughter took a 3 hour nap, which means- I took a nice little nap too. We were having some trouble on the weekends with Cianna's napping- thanks to my mom I think we have it figured out now- you are the best mom :)
