Road Trip

On Friday morning we got on the road at about 9:30am and began our road trip up to Northern California. Our first stop was Lodi to visit with our friends the Coldani's. The girls got to play a bit and the adults had a nice time catching up and playing some darts and bumper pool. Thanks again Coldani's- it's always a treat to spend some time with you guys.

The girls had a great time playing in their PJ's when they woke up in the morning

Saturday morning we drove into Sacramento to visit with our friends Dave and Amy (they are expecting in July) and we are so thrilled for them! Amy made an unbelievable breakfast- crepes!! It was such a great visit and we were glad they were able to get together with us- hope to see you guys again very soon.

We left Sacramento around 1:00pm and headed towards Eric's hometown, Philo. First, we checked into our hotel and then headed into Boonville for dinner with the entire family. It was so great to be with the whole fam..so much fun!

Hmm... I guess this was the only pic we took at the restaurant- lucky debbi!

Sunday, Eric and I went to the movies for a little Valentine's Day date- thank you to Debbi and her family for watching Cianna for us. Eric and I don't get to the movies often, so it was quite nice. After our movie date, we all headed back up to Philo for a birthday dinner for Eric's dad (one of the reasons we made the trip up). It was an awesome home cooked meal and we got in a lot of family visiting time as well.

Monday morning we were able to catch breakast with the family before we headed out of town. We decided that we would drive to San Luis Obispo and stay there for the night since we don't get to visit there often and we miss it!

Cianna needed a little pit stop, so we stopped at a park for a bit

We made it to SLO around 6:00pm, checked into our hotel and then headed out for dinner. As much as we love Firestone's, we opted for Woodstock's this time and boy, was it good! We couldn't pass up Bali's yogurt after dinner so that was our second stop. It was a quick stop but well worth it!

I think I like this place...

This morning we packed up, had some breakfast at the Apple Farm and headed home! It was a lot of driving but it was a really nice trip and we loved visiting with our family and friends.

We did make one special stop before coming home. We had to meet baby girl Melia Baylee and congratulate the new mommy and daddy in person! Melia is just perfect and we look forward to watching both Cianna and Melia grow up together. Congratulations again Huntoon's! Hope you like us because we will be visiting often..hehe.
