Rice Cereal and Play Time Fun

This week Cianna had fun trying out a few new things. We brought out her activity jumper and even though her feet barely touch the ground I think her new toy is growing on her. She is really cute in it anyway...

Cianna had her 4 month well check up on Wednesday and all is well. She weighs 12 1/2 pounds and is 25 inches long and the doctor said that her teeth are very close to coming in...thank goodness because we think they have started to bother her a little bit. The doctor also said that we could start giving Cianna rice cereal so we gave her some last night for the first time; we think she really enjoyed it.

We are having a lot of fun with Cianna...she is constantly smiling at us and she loves it when we sing to her. She also must have a different sound everyday which usually makes us laugh, she is a funny girl! Oh, and she loves to laugh at us when we talk silly to her. She is very alert these days and is even starting to grab and pound on things including the computer! We ended up removing our coffee table from the living room and getting an area rug so we can have more space for playing. We thought it would be a smart move since before we know it Cianna would have probably tried to remove the tiles frome the table, etc.

We no longer have to completely swaddle her when she goes to sleep so that has been nice, and she is no longer wanting her pacifier (not sure if it is because of the teething or not) so lately we have been trying different things at night to soothe her so she falls asleep but thankfully she has still been sleeping through the night!
This week we had another play date with Preston and I met my old co-workers for lunch on Thursday (nope, not really missing my job). I do really have to start concentrating on my wedding business though; I need a few more clients! Hopefully I will find the time soon. Thursday night we had Mike and Melinda over for dinner and I was able to help Melinda with her baby registry (baby girl Huntoon can't get here soon enough)! Friday night we met Eric's co-worker and his family for dinner and Saturday morning we went to breakfast with our friends Julie and Ryan and their little girl Maddy. Today we went on a morning walk and Eric pointed out that Cianna was dressed in her Charger Blue...oh boy, you can guess what we will be doing this afternoon.


It was really nice to have a weekend at home...got a lot of things done and even had some time to relax a little bit. We are enjoying it while we can because things are going to get fairly busy again soon. See you next week!
